Following surgery your Doctor will ask you to wear a Compression Garment. It is important that you are comfortable and that the garment has the proper fit and compression to aid in the recovery process. Surgical Compression garments are designed to reduce swelling and flush harmful fluids out of the body. And using compression garments can help alleviate some discomfort and expedite the healing process so patients can recover sooner. A quality compression garment will apply consistent and constant compression over a prolonged period.
It is important to follow the Doctors directions for the best results. Usually you will be asked to wear the surgical garment continuously for several weeks and even months. It is recommended you purchase two garments so one garment can be worn while the second garment is being washed.
